INSTALL GUIDE
───────────────
It is necessary to install the Calendar software to a Hard Disk.
The Installation program will do the following.
1. Create the directory SOSCAL
2. Copy all files from the Diskette
to the SOSCAL directory.
3. Extract all compressed files.
4. Prompt you to select your Video card from
the list provided.
To print the Documentation Type PRINTDOC at the DOS prompt.
To print the Registration Form Type Register at the DOS prompt.

GETTING STARTED:

Switch to the drive where the Diskette is located. Ex. A: <ENTER>
TYPE INSTALL [TARGET DRIVE]: Where Target Drive is Hard Disk you will
install to. Valid drives are C,D,E, and F. Ex. A:>INSTALL C:

Selecting Video Drivers:
SOSCAL requires a Super VGA card with a minimum on 512k of Video
RAM to run. It also requires a High Resolution Video Driver to
be installed specifically for your Video Card.
During the install process you will be asked to select your VGA
card from the list provided. If your card is not on the list
check to see if your video card can support the VESA Standard.
Some Video cards are BIOS compatible with the VESA Standard, while
others supply a run time driver with their Video Card, normally found
on the Utility disk supplied with the card, if this is the case then
load the VESA Software before running the Calendar program,
and select the VESA Driver from the list during the installation.

TO RUN AFTER INSTALLATION:
──────────────────────────
Modify your path statement; found in your autoexec.bat file; to
include the SOSCAL directory.
Ex. PATH = C:\DOS;C:\;C:\SOSCAL
To run automatically when you start your computer, add the DTCAL.BAT
file to your Autoexec.bat file. Note if you are using DOS Shell,
Windows, or similar software called from your AUTOEXEC.BAT file then
place DTCAL.BAT before you call any other programs.
Ex. CALL DTCAL.BAT
To run at any time from the DOS Prompt.
Ex. C:\>DTCAL <ENTER>
